Time: Christmas Eve.
Place: our makeshift Christmas tree, which is really just a table because we didn’t buy a tree this week. You know, because of the environment (read: economy) and all.
Her reaction: “But I thought we weren’t buying each other anything!!!” Muhahahaha.
This is a great idea for a present. It costs very very little, has a ton of sentimental value, and shows you care and all that. So… allow me to present, my present for my wife: a pictorial of lilJ, our son:

The best thing about this was that we had already been picking out the best photos throughout lilJ’s life and been storing them on Facebook. I found Big Huge Labs, which lets you login via Facebook Connect, and then… here’s the magic… it can download your photos from facebook and auto-arrange them into a mosiac.
People, I cannot understate how cool this was to create. I then paid $5 for a high-res capability and downloaded it at 300 dps, which printed out quite nicely. Slap it into a $5.65 frame from Kroger and you have yourself a perfect gift.
I did the text in Photoshop — just set the opacity to 62% and give the text a border and bam! Note: I changed the text in the image above: our son’s name isn’t “lilJ Wolgamott” — you get the idea.
